Welcome on our website "2xperience.nl"
To
experience; for us that's what travelling is all about. To experience
how it is to live in a different culture, to taste other dishes, to hear
different sounds, to see different plants and animals and to meet people with different languages and
habits.
In May 2007, after many short holidays we quit our jobs to embark on a new adventure.
With our own car we travelled overland to Africa and Asia during a period of
14 months.
Although our journey has ended, our website will remain accessible. For a
retrospective of our former travels or for reports of future journeys.
Unfortunately for all foreign visitors the stories will be only be in Dutch.
All travel information however is also available in English. We hope this
website may inspire you.
To all those readers
who read our stories with a healthy dose of jealousy and are considering a
similar journey themselves we can only say: GO FOR IT! All sacrifices turn
pale compared to the richness it brought us. We have enjoyed every second of
being and experiencing it together and all the memories of unique people,
crazy situations, stunning landscapes and impressive animals
are priceless and will
be a part of us for the rest of our lives.
Don't think about the trip of a lifetime
